Prophecy in Bible from Muslim Perspective of View

Deuteronomy 18:15-18

15 The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own brothers. You must listen to him.

16 For this is what you asked of the LORD your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly when you said, "Let us not hear the voice of the LORD our God nor see this great fire anymore, or we will die."

17 The LORD said to me: "What they say is good.

18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him.

(New International Version translation)

Christians View:

In Deuteronomy 18:15-18, Moses told the Israelites that God would raise up another prophet like Moses. After Moses, there was a succession of prophets, including Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel, and finally Jesus Christ. Jesus was very much like Moses. Both were delivered from death as infants. Both were prophets. Both performed miracles. Both were leaders. And both were intermediaries between God and man. Moses offered to die, if necessary, if God would forgive the sins of the people that Moses was leading (see Exodus 32:30-33). Jesus did die for our sins, so that people could enter the Kingdom of Heaven. No other prophet is as much like Moses than Jesus.

Muslims View and Points Against Christians View :

In Deuteronomy 18:15-18, Moses told the Israelites that God would raise up another prophet like Moses AMONG YOUR OWN BROTHERS not AMONG YOURSELF - Which means among Ishmaelites or Moabites.

Jesus is excluded since he come from "YOURSELF"

Jesus was very much like Moses.
Muhammad is FAR MORE SIMILAR TO Moses compared to Jesus:

Both were delivered from death as infants.
During Muhammad time, Arabs kill girl baby. All 3 prophets against these stupid traditions.

Both were prophets. Both performed miracles. And both were intermediaries between God and man.
Muhammad also prophet, speak on behalf of God and perform miracles.

Both were leaders.
All Prophets are leader...But what kind of leader? Refer my points below.

Moses offered to die, if necessary, if God would forgive the sins of the people that Moses was leading (see Exodus 32:30-33).
Jesus did die for our sins, so that people could enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

All prophet love their people.
But of course God didn't accept offering to die for people's sins.
He didn't accept Moses offer, and he never ask Jesus to do similar things.

No other prophet is as much like Moses than Jesus.
There is another similarities of Muhammad with Moses.

1. Both has name started with "M"
2. Both has been born naturally, not by miraculous birth
3. Both has didn't stay with their biologic parents during early Childhood. (Jesus stay with Mary until 30 years old.)
4. Both has been raised in Noble Family, Muhammad raised by Family of Quraisy Chieftain and Moses raised by Pharaoh (not in Family of Carpenter.)
5. Both has become judge over a huge disputes and participate in war before prophethood(Arab History, Talmud)
6. Both are married (Christians say Jesus unmarried)
7. Both have Children (Christians say Jesus didn't have Children)
8. Both has been given the first revealation in high land. (Moses in Tursina, while Muhammad in Jabal Nur)
9. Revelation changes Moses and Muhammad live. The other members of their own Royal House has opposed them.
10. Both drive their people from oppression in their land. (Moses,Exodus; Muhammad,Hijrah)
11. Both are given with same Divine Law. (Paul abolish the Law of Moses)
12. Both are Commander in War. (Jesus never participate in war)
13. Both are Political Leader. (Jesus are not politicians)
14. Both has land and "kingdom" to be administered.
15. Both are died naturally (not hanged on Cross)
16. Both has a united political and religious succession that stands for long time. Muhammad and his Caliph. Moses and his Judges. (Jesus' Churches divides, and didn't have political power)
17. Both NEVER conquer Jerusalam, but their successor does, for a long time (Christian invade Jerusalam less than 4 years)

18. Both has been accepted as prophet as their people (not been rejected by their own people, yet accepted by Gentiles)

19. Both are not GOD~!!! Very Happy

For all entire life, from birth, their carrier (religious and political), their death and their succession; Muhammad is more similar to Moses compared to Jesus.
Very Happy
